Badland 2

Released in 2015 by Frogmind Games. The player flies around a little black creature through the woods of the game. Won Apple’s Game of the Year and Design award.

Kingdom: New Lands

The retro adventure game "Kingdom: New Lands" was nominated for the SXSW Gamer's Voice Awards, and has won the award for "Best of Show" in the 2015 Indie Arena Booth.

Playdead's Inside

This wonderfully designed game won the awards for "Golden Cube" and Best Desktop/Console Game" at the Unity Awards 2016, as well as "Best-Looking Game" at the Giant Bomb 2016 Game of the Year Awards. The game took second place for "Best Visual Design", "Best Storytelling" and "Studio of the Year" at the Edge Awards 2016. To top it off it won first place for Best Audio Design.

Alto's Adventure

Released in 2015, Alto's Adventure reception was very positive. It ranked in "Favorite Apps of 2015" by the New York Times and The Verge called it "one of the best mobile games". The game was a finalist in the 2015 Unity Awards.

Bastion

The original version of Bastion earned more than 100 industry accolades: Best Game, Best Debut, Best Indie Game and the Inside Gaming Award. Paste Magazine ranked it the Best Videogame of the Year.

The Silent Age

This classic from 2013 won the Casual Connect Indie Prize and was praised for it's storytelling and great puzzle design. This reddit AMA by the developers is worth a read.
